[origin: WO9807971A2] The invention pertains to a method for cylinder-selective control of the internal combustion in an self-ignited diesel engine. A measuring device with related processing unit indicates the crankshaft rotation angle and determines the number of revolutions of said crankshaft at a given time. Based on that number, a control instrument provides the relevant parameters for cylinder-selectively equalizing means pressures, or de-equalizing them according to a definite value, thus minimizing the effects on the combustion process of differences between structural components involved in the fuel supply system and said combustion process.
