The hand held tool has a fluid pressure actuator system that operates a pair of press tool jaws that deform the coupling. Within the tool are sensors that monitor the presence of the coupling, the system oil pressure and temperature. Indicators are provided . Ein Presswerkzeug zum Verpressen von Kopplungselementen weist eine Klemmzange (4) zur Verpressung der Kopplungselemente und einen Antrieb zur druckbetriebenen Betätigung der Klemmzange (4) auf. Ferner ist eine elektronische Sicherheitseinheit mit mindestens einem Ueberwachungselement vorhanden, wobei das Ueberwachungselement den Antrieb auf Erreichbarkeit eines Pressdruckwertes innerhalb eines vordefinierten Toleranzbereiches überprüft und die Sicherheitseinheit bei Pressdruckwerten ausserhalb dieses Toleranzbereiches den Antrieb unterbricht. Dadurch wird eine qualitativ gleichbleibende Durchführung der Verpressungen gewährleistet. <IMAGE>
