Abstract (en)
A process for applying a corrosion protection layer to the surface of a cylinder (2) for the printing works (1) of a printing press, comprises: (a) providing the cylinders with a clean, micro rough surface by turning, etc.; (b) applying a thermally crosslinked plastic dissolved in a solvent uniformly to the cylinder surface; (c) drying the plastic layer and hardening and crosslinking at elevated temperature; and (d) mounting the cylinder without further processing. Also claimed is a printing press with a cylinder, whose surface carries a corrosion protection layer of 100 mu m thickness.
Abstract (de)
Bei dem Verfahren wird der Zylinder z.B. durch Drehen, Strahlen etc. mit einer sauberen, mikrorauhen Oberfläche versehen. Ein in einem Lösungsmittel gelöster, thermisch vernetzbarer Kunststoff wird gleichmäßig auf die Zylinderoberfläche aufgetragen. Die Kunststoffschicht wird anschließend getrocknet und bei erhöhter Temperatur ausgehärtet bzw. vernetzt, und der Zylinder wird dann ohne weitere Bearbeitung der Oberflächenform montiert.
