The oil lamp includes a lamp part which has a container (1) that is at least partly filled with a combustible fluid (6) and which has an opening on the top above the fluid level. The opening is covered by a lid (7) which can be pierced by hand using a suitable hand tool and which seals the container in fluid- tight fashion. The container has a flat bottom with at least one spike and is made of plastic. The lid is a foil made of plastic, metal or a compound. The combustible fluid is preferably olive oil. The lamp also includes a wick (8) which is so stiff at its end that it is suitable as a tool for piercing the lid.

Ein gut handhab- und transportierbarer Lampensatz für die Herstellung einer öllampenartigen Lampe umfasst ein Lampenteil mit einem etwa zylindrischen Behälter (1) aus Kunststoff, der mit einer brennbaren Flüssigkeit (6), z. B. Olivenöl gefüllt ist und an seiner Oberseite eine Oeffnung aufweist, welche durch einen Deckel (7) aus Aluminiumfolie dicht verschlossen ist sowie einen Docht (8). Zur Herstellung einer funktionsfähigen Lampe wird der Deckel (7) durchstochen und ein Ende des Dochtes (8) in den Behälter (1) eingeführt und bis zu dessen Boden in die Flüssigkeit (6) getaucht. <IMAGE>
