[origin: EP0859193A1] The control and display arrangement for an oven, especially a domestic one, has a number of heating sites in the region of the cooking panel and a number of heating functions in the region of the baking oven. In the operating and display region, besides the displays and lamps to indicate the operating modes and states and besides the input elements for selecting the input modes, there are further input elements arranged to input values in connection with an active input mode. An input element that can be adjusted in two coordinate directions is joined to the input element for the respective function modes and function sites via a circuit arrangement that can be influenced by operation and-or adjustment of the input element for controlling the oven functions on the input side and is arranged as a main on-off switch. In the other adjustment coordinate it is arranged as an input organ for the analogue and-or digital input values in connection with activated input elements for the respective input mode.
