[origin: EP0859375A2] This ignition lead for motor cars has an insulating layer (4) surrounding the electrical conductor (2), consisting of a polyolefin, which is cased by an organic silicon polymer. In the construction, the insulation layer comprises polyethylene, and the casing (5) is adhered to it. Preferably, an adhesive is diffused into the insulation layer and anchored into it. The casing is crosslinked with the adhesive. The zone of adhesion (6) overlaps radially (9, 10) into casing and insulation. The adhesive has a silane basis. The end of the casing is adhered to a plug socket. The socket is essentially an organo-silicon polymer.
