[origin: EP0859429A2] The connecting device includes a number of first contact elements (20) of a first conductor (14) led out from a plug piece (18), and a number of wire ends (22) of a second conductor (24) led out from a rigid conductor coating (30), which are aligned with the contact elements to be electrically connected with them. A sheath element (34) from metallic material encloses a connecting area between the wire ends and the contact elements. The sheath element is connected on one end sealingly and unsolvable with the conductor coating, and extends on the other end over the plug piece, whereby a cavity (44) enclosed by the sheath element comprises a heat-shrink, electrically isolating seal mass, at least in the connecting area.
