[origin: EP0859537A2] A heater, comprising an electrical resistance (4, 5) inside a body (2) of a moulded thermo-setting polymer material based on a non-saturated polyester resin. The heating element is made from a winding of an electrically resistant wire (5) round an insulating support (5) inside a silicone-based sleeve, while the polymer body can be reinforced with glass fibres and have other additives to give it resistance to UV rays. The polymer material should be resistant to high temperatures and can be, for example, polyamide 11, polyamide 66 or PET.
