[origin: DE19533790A1] The object of the invention is to produce spray-dried amorphous silicates and impregnate them with detergent or cleanser ingredients that are liquid to waxy under normal processing conditions, while ensuring that pourability is not seriously impaired. This is accomplished with a process wherein an aqueous preparation containing as active substance essentially an amorphous alkali silicate with an M2O:SiO2 molar composition between 1:1.5 and 1:3.3 (M being an alkali metal) is a) spray dried and then b) impregnated with an aqueous dispersion of detergent or cleanser ingredients, including at least one organic detergent or cleanser ingredient dispersed in water or an aqueous solution, and c) optionally dried.
