Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0860524A2] In spinning polymer mixtures based on polyester (IA) or polyamide (IB) at haul-off rates ≥ 1500 m/minute (m/min) to filaments with an elongation at break ≤ 180%, 0.05-5 wt.% of a second amorphous polymer (II) is added. (II) is a copolymer of NOTLESS 2 monomer units selected from (A) 0-90 wt.% alkyl or cyclohexyl (meth)acrylate of formula CH2=C(R) - COOR1 (III), (B) 0-40 wt.% maleic acid or anhydride and (C) 5-85 wt.% styrene or methyl-substituted styrene; In (III) R = H or methyl; R1 = linear or branched 1-10 C alkyl or cyclohexyl.
