[origin: EP0860540A1] An apparatus to fold and carry off laundry, after ironing, in a laundry comprises a folding arm, moving to and fro to fold each item, from the entry point of a conveyor (28), which is moved (F2) to carry the folded laundry towards a recovery basin. A mechanism with a free-running wheel (52) is disengaged at the same time to allow a press roller (40) to drop down, and be rotated by a belt (62). The conveyor (28) direction is reversed (F3), and the press roller (40) is raised by the free-running wheel (52) through a crank (54) and rod (56).
