[origin: EP0860569A2] In the housing (2) of a mortise lock, a drive unit includes a pivotable lever (11) acting on a bolt (4), a driven lever (17) with pivoting connection to a slider (7), which has recesses (8,9) for attachment to connecting rods, and a reversing lever (15) connecting the drive lever and the driven lever. Pref. the drive lever and/or the driven lever are pivotably mounted on pins (14,26) attached to the housing and levers (11,15,17) are connected by pivot bearings (16,19). The reversing lever preferably forms a step-up gear with the drive and driven levers.
