[origin: EP0861616A1] An applicator (1) for a make-up product (A) for keratin fibres, especially the eyelashes, comprises a flat handle (8) having an application blade (10) at at least a first end. The blade has a free end and unitary structure, is elastically deformable in several directions and is parallel to the plane of the handle. At least one of the main surfaces (51,52) of the blade has a relief structure (53) for retaining (A) on being contacted with (A). (A) is applied by contacting the surface with the fibres along the axis of the fibres. The length of the free end, measured in a first direction (X) parallel to the plane, is at least a quarter of the average length of the arc of an eyelash (preferably 0.75-3) cm. Also claimed are two forms of combined storage and application devices for (A). One form comprises a reservoir containing (A) in liquid form, where the reservoir has a liquid drainage device and is closed by a detachable applicator as above. The second form comprises a solid or semi-solid block of (A) at the bottom of a closable container and an applicator as above, where (A) is extracted by contacting the blade with the free surface of the block.
