[origin: EP0862097A1] A detachable bracelet (4) which secures a wristwatch case (2) is connected by means of a bar (6) which passes through orifices (12,14) in projections (8,10) of the case (2) and a channel at the end of the watchstrap (4). The bar (6) is tubular and at one end (24) has a wider cross section portion and shoulder (26) which houses a push button (36). The push button (36) is part of an operating element (32,34) which is spring loaded (30) and normally holds a rotatable catch (40) in a position which locks the bar (6) to the watchcase (2). When the pushbutton (36) is depressed against the action of the spring (30) the catch (40) becomes flush with the surface of the bar which may then be withdrawn.
