[origin: EP0862948A1] The inlet pipe (2) of the magnetic separator is connected to the housing (6) and is rotatable around its longitudinal axis. At least one cross pipe (11) is located at an angle to the longitudinal axis and is connected to the inlet pipe. The cross pipe is provided with outlet holes for the fluid. The housing ends in a conical section where it blends into an outlet pipe (9). A conical clearing device (10) is fitted to the inlet pipe and inserted in the conical section, and carries the particles into the outlet pipe.
