Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0862974A1] The hand cutting tool consists of a handle (1) in which an exchangeable handle (3) with a heating wire (20) can be fitted, a guide element (2) and a rail (4). The guide element can be pushed along the rail. The handle can turn about an axis (45) in the guide element. This intersects the wire (20) at a right angle and runs directly adjacent to the straightening edge (60) of the rail. The releasable connection may be a quick-release lock, possibly of the bayonet lock type. A laser cutter may be used instead of a heating wire as the cutting tool.
