[origin: EP0862976A1] The covering batten manufacturing method involves first shaping a wooden strip, coated on the obverse side, to form a rod-type wooden semi-finished product, chiselling it out in the longitudinal direction and then coating it on the obverse side. The semi-finished product is shaped to a preliminary strip (8) corresponding to at least two wooden strips pushed together at a longitudinal edge (4) on the obverse side and linked by a connecting web (9) below the longitudinal edges. This strip is then coated on the obverse side (31).
