Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0863260A1] The process involves making a lateral opening in the hull(1) and in the lower part of the bearing structure at the level of passage of each leg(2), engaging in each hole a first section(20) and positioning it along the axis of the leg. It then involves lifting the first section of each leg to position the upper part below the opening and then mounting the racks, reduction motor assemblies and pinions. It involves lifting the first section using the reduction motors to bring the lower part below the opening and then placing in the opening a second section and positioning it along the axis of the first section. It then involves bringing the sections together and welding them and lifting the sections using the reduction motors. It continues with the step of engaging and assembling successive sections in the opening to make each leg and closing the lateral openings made in the hull.
