[origin: EP0863292A1] A security lock has two bolts (11, 12), one of the bolts (12) is operated by a key inserted in a keyhole (7) while the other bolt (11) is spring-loaded and is released by pressure applied to a flexible strip (15) by sliding part (13) of the required safety equipment along a hollow guide rail (8). The flexible strip (15) has a projection (16) located opposite the springloaded bolt, pressing the bolt end through its aperture (9) in the lock plate. In variants of the design the safety equipment component can be used to actuate a rod and pusher or a rack and pinion mechanism to release the bolt.
