Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0863297A1] The system includes separate devices (5,6) for the relative turn angle setting of the camshafts (2,3) relative to a drive gear (7,8). The system further comprises a separate setting device (13, 14) on each side with coupling members (12,12'), hydraulic operating fittings (10,11) and provision for advanced and retarded settings of the exhaust camshaft (3). The hydraulic operating fittings are connected independently of each other to a lubricating oil supply (17) in parallel with the engine lubricating system. The exhaust camshaft advanced setting device (16) is in the form of a prestressed spring (18).
