Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0863314A1] The side-channel compressor has a running wheel with scoops which can turn to compress the gas in a casing with a side channel. The cross-section of the side channel narrows from the induction side (2) towards the compression side (3). The narrowing of the channel cross-section may be continuous and may amount to 20-40%, preferably 30%, of the cross-section of the side channel at the gas input. The cross-section may narrow from about 130% at the gas inlet to about 100% at the gas outlet.*Rotary compressor for air or industrial gases
