[origin: EP0863318A2] The spreading anchor bolt unit comprises an anchor bolt rod (1) with a conical head (2), and a sleeve (3) with spreading segments (6) separated by axial slits (5) on plastics hinges (4), extending to the free front end (7) of the sleeve and movable outwards by the bolt head. The segments have at least one groove-like recess (8,9) coming out in the region of the free front end, and extending over at least part of the axial length of the segments. The recess runs at an angle to a straight line (G) parallel to the sleeve axis (A).
