Abstract (en)
The spray coating method has an electrically conductive coating material fed from an earthed supply (16) to a sprayer (10) at a high voltage potential, via a hose line (14), with an insulating line for electrical insulation between the supply system and the sprayer. The insulating line has an extraction point (24) halfway along its length, for connection to the sprayer, with the coating material fed back to the supply during the intervals between spraying.

In einer elektrostatischen Beschichtungsanlage dient eine schraubenlinienförmig gewickelte isolierende Leitung (21) ausreichender Länge als Potentialtrenneinrichtung zwischen der auf Hochspannung gelegten Sprühvorrichtung (10) und einer auf Erdpotential liegenden Ringleitung (16). An ungefähr der Hälfte der isolierenden Leitung ist eine Entnahmestelle (24) vorgesehen, an die die Sprühvorrichtung (10) angeschlossen wird, und zumindest in den Beschichtungspausen wird das Beschichtungsmaterial kontinuierlich durch die isolierende Leitung (21) zurück zu der Ringleitung (16) gepumpt. <IMAGE>
