[origin: EP0864524A1] The cable transporter feeds forwards a precise cable length at the cable handling station using at least 2 counter-rotating rollers or bands (4a,4b;5a,5b) which act against the outside of the cable (10). The rollers or bands lie on opposite sides of the cable transport path and are driven independently by separate electric drive motors, provided with rev regulation, via an electronic drive control.
