Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0864667A1] The method consists of the following steps: a) production of reducing gas atmosphere in the pipe interior; b) heating of the pipe (1); c) the inner pipe surface is tinned with a uniform layer with a thickness in the mu m range; d) the pipe is rapidly cooled. When the pipe consists of copper or a copper alloy, the step b) involves heating to 220-300 degrees C for 0.5-30 min. The tin layer (5) is produced by passage of liquid tin (4) through the pipe.
