Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0864683A2] A continuous dying method of cellulose tubular knitted or woven fabric involves the following steps: (a) impregnating the fabric with an aqueous dyebath containing dissolved and/or dispersed dyes and optionally fixing alkali and other ancillaries at between 20 and 95 degrees C; (b) squeezing; and (c), without intermediate drying, passed into apparatus in which the rope is opened out without creases and the dye is fixed for at least 20 seconds in an unsaturated steam-air mixture at between 100 and 160 degrees C, at a wet fabric temperature of between 50 and 85 degrees C. Also claimed is the apparatus used to dye.
