The washbasin has a main basin body (1), which is at a distance to the wall or extends to the wall with a rounded basin edge, and a connection part (4). This part extends from below the basin edge towards the wall, thereby forming a chamber (13) for pipes (15) etc extending from the wall and projecting carrier parts. Pipes and parts are contained so as to be invisible from above and the sides. The chamber is open at the bottom and towards the wall, and is of sufficient depth to hide a drain siphon (14). The connection part has a wall section extending vertically and having a U-shaped cross section.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein neues Waschbecken zur Installation an einer Wand. Der Beckenkörper des neuen Waschbeckens umfaßt einen Schalenteil, der von der Wand abgesetzt ist oder höchstens in einem Punkt einer Schalenrundung bis an die Wand heranreicht, sowie einen Anschlußteil, der sich unterhalb des Schalenrandes von dem Schalenteil bis zu der Wand unter Bildung eines Aufnahmeraums für von der Wand zu dem Schalenteil geführte Installationsleitungen und von der Wand vorstehende Trägerteile derart erstreckt, daß wenigstens in einer Draufsicht und in den Seitenansichten des Beckenkörpers die Installationsleitungen und Trägerteile verdeckt sind. <IMAGE>
