Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0864811A2] The wave source has a combustion chamber and feeder. The duct forming the combustion chamber (3) has a wider cross-section at both ends. The constituents of the fluid mixture are introduced via a feeder (4). The narrow part of the duct has a ignition (5). The discharge-gas is discharged near the wide duct-end which is closed at the end by a membrane (14) forming an acoustic transmission element. Several swirl-generators (6-9) are distributed over the defined length of the duct.
