Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0864948A1] The watch strap fitting (2) is fitted into a screw hole (3) in the watch casing (1). The axis (x) of the screw hole is oriented in the direction of the strap fitting. The hole is formed in the base of the watch casing. A cylindrical insert (8) with external diameter less than that of the chamber (4), but greater than the hole diameter has a screw stud (11) at one end which permits the insert to be screwed into the hole (3). The length of the insert is such that on screwing into the hole it projects beyond the exterior of the watch casing. A hollow cylindrical piece (9) having diameter equal to that of chamber is pushed over the insert into the chamber, and has on the outside end a grooved collar (17) to which the watchstrap can be fitted.
