[origin: EP0865058A2] The electric power control device has a heated bimetallic element (84) and a snap switch (89). A control shaft (13a) is provided to act on the bimetallic element and the snap switch for timed power adjustment. The control shaft (13a) is arranged in a housing. The power control device has a modular construction. The housing of the power control device (80) has two basic components. The housing has a three dimensional basic housing (87) formed from a sheet metal section. The basic housing extends on three sides of the control device (80) and at one side part contains a bearing (108) for the control shaft. The side part also carries the snap switch and bimetallic element. The housing also has a plate type insulating housing part (104) connected to the basic housing and forming a second side part. The insulating housing part has the second bearing for the control shaft.
