[origin: DE19543314C1] The method described calls for a jigger to be used to dye a continuous strip of textile fabric (1) made of polyester (PES) fibre or a mixture of PES with other fibres. The dye bath (2, 3) is held at, or just below, the boiling point. Fitted in the enclosed steam space above the dye bath (2, 3) are pipes (18, 19) which direct jets of saturated steam at the fabric (1) as it is wound onto the roll round which fabric (1) is currently being wound.
