The clasp, designed for fastening the two halves (7, 9) of a bracelet, comprises first and second clasp components (1, 2), a cover (5) and a locking mechanism. The clasp components (1, 2) are basically rigid in terms of lengthwise extension and/or deformation, while the lock comprises at least one hook-shaped lug (4.1, 4.2) attached to or forming part of the second clasp component, engaging with a matching projection (1.2, 1.2) on the first component. The hooks and lugs can be thick and solid and able to rotate relative to one another in the form of hinges or, in a variant of the design, the hooks can be elastic and made from sections of tubing.

La fermeture pliante servant à fermer un bracelet comporte un fermoir verrouillable en deux éléments. Une première moitié de bracelet (7) est attachée à un premier élément de fermoir (1), et la seconde moitié de bracelet (9), à un couvre-fermeture (5). Un second élément de fermoir (2) raccorde le premier élément de fermoir (1), avec une aptitude de rotation, au couvre-fermeture (5). Les éléments de fermoir (1, 2) sont sensiblement rigides en termes d'extension longitudinale et/ou de déformation. Le mécanisme de verrouillage se compose de deux ergots (4.1, 4.2) qui sont fixés au second élément de fermoir (2), et de deux excroissances correspondantes (1.1, 1.2) prévues sur le premier élément de fermoir (1). En situation de verrouillage, les ergots (4.1, 4.2) s'engagent pardessus les excroissances (1.1, 1.2) et établissent ainsi la liaison positive et réversible entre le premier élément de fermoir (1) et le second élément de fermoir (2). La fermeture pliante allie la sécurité à l'esthétique et ne nécessite pas de raccords brasés. <IMAGE>
