[origin: EP0865884A1] The cutter (2) has a cover (3) with a hopper (5) through which the material to be cut is pressed towards a rotating blade (8) by a pusher (6) with an arm (17). The blade is rotated by a shaft in two sections (9, 11) connected by a spring-loaded clutch (10). The clutch is engaged to rotate the blade by means of an actuating mechanism (14) in the form of a lever which is connected at one end to the pusher arm and at the other via a ball joint (18) to a projection on the end of one blade section (9).
