A washing drum for a washing machine has a cylindrical surface with several openings for the passage of the working liquid. The drum surface (2) resembles a honeycomb and the throughflow openings (3) form part of the honeycombs (4), which are preferably embossings in the shape of a hexagon.

Waschtrommel (1) für eine Waschmaschine, deren zylindrischer Mantel (2) mit einer Vielzahl von Durchflutungslöchern (3) zum Durchtritt der Arbeitsflüssigkeit versehen ist. Zwecks Verbesserung der Zuführung der Arbeitsflüssigkeit zu den Durchflutungslöchern (3) im Waschtrommelmantel (2) ist der Trommelmantel (2) wabenartig ausgebildet. Die Durchflutungslöcher (3) sind dabei Teil der Waben (4). Die Waben (4) sind als Prägungen in Sechskantform ausgeführt. <IMAGE>
