Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0866266A2] The burner system for solid fuel, especially wood, has two types of air supply using ambient room air and an external air supply. Each air supply has a separate and controlled feed opening (8,9), independent of each other, which can be set as required and fully closed. The two air feeds pass together through an initial air chamber to the main combustion zone (4) as primary air and to the after burning zone (5) as secondary air. The two zones may be separated by a set of air nozzles (7).
