Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0867202A2] A pipe for the additive is connected to the pipe for the extinguisher water and leads at the end to at least one discharge point. Both the water-pipe and additive-pipe contain flow meters (3,4) that may be in the form of magnetically-inductively metering tubular sensors connected to a central control unit (9). The control unit may incorporate a computer (19) for calculating the required quantity of additive taking into account the nominal valve digitally set by a monitoring switch (12). The computer can be connected to the drive motor (2') of a foam-pump (2) in the form of an automatically suctioning screw pump. The drive motor may be controlled by a digital-analog converter (9b). The water-pipe and or foam-pipe contain sensors (7,8) may be connected to the central control.
