Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0867203A1] The fire extinguisher has an upper shrouding (14) which wholly covers the connection fitting (6) for the gas container (2), apart from the striking knob (13) which projects over it by at least the stroke length of the movement to penetrate the gas container link. The top of the shroud (14) is recessed to accommodate the striking knob, in a covered and structured recessed wall under the knob and/or is covered by components of the striking knob (13). The under side of the striking knob (13) has guide members, which move in matching openings in the covering wall of the shroud (14) under it.
