[origin: EP0867234A1] Selective vibrating separator comprises a box (1) to which a unidirectional vibration is applied. The box (1) includes a sorting system made up of some troughs (5) following one another linearly, fed at one end by some formed elements with material of differing nature occurring in the separated state or the agglomerated state, destined to displace itself on the troughs (5). The sorting of the elements is realised by the combination between: (a) the angle ( alpha ), the amplitude and the frequency ( eta ) of the vibrations communicated to the troughs (5) via the vibrating box (1); and (b) the configuration and the relative positioning of the troughs (5).
