[origin: EP0867245A1] A method is claimed for the regulation of the speed of rotation of rolls during the continuous casting of thin metal products between rolls. The continuous casting installation incorporates two rolls (1, 2) with parallel axes defining between them a neck (8) situated in the plane of the axes of the rolls. The speed of rotation of each roll is enslaved to a parameter representative of the difference in the tangential speeds at the neck and is regulated in a manner that ensures that these speeds are equalised. Preferably, this representative parameter is a difference in the peripheral speeds (Vt1, Vt2) measured at a point some distance from the neck.
