Abstract (en)
Gelatinous noble metal electrolyte for electroplating metal substrates with noble metal layers contains a noble metal salt (I) and a gelling agent (II) in aqueous solution. (I) is free from cyanide and (II) is a hydrophilic organic polymer selected from polysaccharides, polyacrylic acid derivatives or polyethylene glycols. Also claimed is a method of producing the electrolyte by adding (II) to a (I) solution and homogenising until a viscous, gelatinous consistency is obtained.

Die Erfindung betrifft gelförmige Edelmetallelektrolyte zur galvanischen Abscheid von Edelmetallschichten auf metallischen Werkstücken. Diese enthalten in wässriger Lösung ein cyanidfreies Edelmetallsalz und als Gelbildner ein hydrophiles organisches Polymer aus den Klassen der Polysaccharide, der Polyacrylsäurederivate oder der Polyethylenglycole.
