[origin: EP0867583A2] Mechanism (6) of a combination lock for a container is adjustable by means of a number of number wheels (14) which are arranged in a row orthogonal to the container division (15) on the container. Preferably the axes of rotation of the combination lock mechanism are positioned perpendicular to a wall section including the locking device. Each number wheel may project from a housing (7) of the locking mechanism at at least two positions, located diametrically opposite.
