Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0867588A2] The turning door is opened and/or closed with the aid of an electric motor which acts on a door closing spring to allow the door to be opened by hand without the resistance of the spring. It has a switch (6) for actuating the motor is positioned near the door handle (13) and is activated when the door handle is used. Preferably the switch is mounted rigidly on the door or on the door handle or in the region of a striking plate or lock case and is activated by relative movement of the door handle in relation to the door. The switch may be a sensor, e.g. microswitch, reed switch, radio device etc.
