[origin: EP0867660A1] The flame monitor has at least one sensor (10) for detecting the burner flame, which is supplied via an AC voltage source (16), its output signal fed to an amplifier circuit (14), also supplied by the AC voltage source. An ohmic resistance and/or a capacitor can be used as the impedance (20) inserted between the AC voltage source and the sensor, the amplifier circuit containing at least one transistor.
