[origin: EP0868099A2] The method involves determining of a path for a connection to a target network node within a communications network system. The connection includes a network path between a first communications network and a second network, overlapping with the first communications network. The networks comprise a number of network nodes and network edges proceeding between them. The target network node lies in the second communications network. The Dijkstra-algorithm is used under consideration of the network edge lengths of the second communications network to determine possible network paths and their distance to the target node. Network nodes of the first communications network are associated with network nodes of the second communications network according to their location. The network path is selected for the connection path, which results in the cheapest available fee distance zone to the target node according to a fee distance zone gradation of the second communications network.
