A microwave oven is disclosed and includes a cooking chamber (400) having an electrical component compartment (400) separated therefrom, an air duct (440) mounted within the electrical component compartment (400) for directing a flow of air into the cooking chamber (300) and a light (450) mounted on the air duct (440) for illuminating the cooking chamber (300).
