Abstract (en)
The finishing section for continuously cast strip (2) is preceded by an upsetting roll stand (1) which has an adjustment mechanism (5, 6) governed by position control loops (11, 12). The roll stand has a pressure control loop (19) and a load limiting controller (20). The pressure control loop samples the pressure exerted by the roll stand at predetermined intervals, and adjusts the roll positions. The load limiting controller tests for excess forces on the rolls (3, 4) or excess loads on their drive motors and, if necessary, increases the roll gap and/or reduces the pressure of the adjustment mechanism (5, 6).

Ein einer Stranggießanlage nach- und einer Fertigstraße vorgeschaltetes Stauchgerüst soll so gesteuert werden, daß das Vorband sicher in das erste Gerüst der Fertigstraße einlaufen kann, wobei zur Vermeidung von Rissen im Bandkantenbereich eine Gefügeumwandlung im Bandkantenbereich sichergestellt sein soll. Dazu wird vorgeschlagen, daß den Positionsregelkreisen für das Stauchgerüst Druckregelkreise zur Stauchgradüberwachung sowie Überlastbegrenzung und Differenzlast-Überwachung überlagert sind. <IMAGE>
