[origin: EP0868952A1] A mould for the continuous casting of metals, is made up of an assembly of four metal plates, incorporating channels cut vertically inside the plates which are designed for the circulation of a cooling fluid. At least two of these plates (13, 14) incorporate in their upper internal parts one or more horizontal channels for the circulation of the cooling fluid independent of the vertical channels. The vertical channels end beneath this upper part of the plate.
