[origin: EP0868960A1] The manufacturing process involves providing a glass plate (5) which serves as the basis for the panel. The panel may include cut-out holes (6,7) for controls to pass through the panel. The panel includes a layer of colouring material applied to its surface by screen printing (4). The specific design required for the control panel is formed by customised laser etching, enabling the formation of calibrations and markings on the panel and the formation of a design or logo (3). The printed layer may comprise a layer of vitreous enamel on a base of tempered glass. Once the required markings are formed by etching, an additional colour may be added to highlight these regions.
