Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0869073A1] The invention relates to a hexagonal bottom sack with an open end and an end provided with a hexagonal bottom, comprising a paper outer sack (1) and a plastic inner sack (2), in which near the open end the plastic inner sack is attached, particularly glued, with its outer side to the inner side of the outer sack, and in which the plastic inner sack is closed, particularly sealed, near its other end and is folded with and in the hexagonal bottom. In the known automatically manufactured hexagonal bottom sacks the plastic inner sack is glued against an inner wall of the paper outer sack at its sealed end. In this way the plastic inner sack can only be separated from the paper outer sack with difficulty, which among others for environmental reasons is undesirable. In order to remove this disadvantage the plastic inner sack (2) according to the invention is separate of the hexagonal bottom, the paper outer sack (1) being provided with at least one recess (5) at one side near the end of which the hexagonal bottom has been folded, so that the hexagonal bottom can be folded with a usual folding device. This invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such hexagonal bottom sacks. <IMAGE>
