[origin: EP0869206A2] The assembly for the movement and storage of rectangular sliver cans (1), between processing machines, has a storage zone (6) with storage spaces (7) for empty cans (8) at each of the first machines (4), and spaces for neighbouring full cans (9) to be taken. The storage spaces (21) at the second set of machines (15) have a capacity to take the number of cans in a group (11), plus one. A connecting link between the can stores (6,14) and a further link between the other stores (14,21) each forms a can conveyor or moving trolleys which can accommodate one of the groups (11) of empty (8) or full (9) cans.
